North Cleveland Worship expects that our volunteers show up prepared and ready to minister. We will do everything within our abilities to set everyone up to succeed as a team member. Weekly rehearsal recordings are available on this website.

These recordings are part-specific and always our default when learning music. Suppose there is a discrepancy between the sheet music and recording. Always go with the recording.

WHEN WE SING - WE PRACTICE WEEKLY TO COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER MUSICALLY.

AS TEAMMATES, WE ARE TO COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER IN EVERY WAY; THIS WILL INCLUDE THE CLOTHING TO WEAR. EVERY TIME WE SING, WE WILL WEAR within the week’s color scheme (announced in rehearsal). Black, Grey, White is always safe. See Music ministry Handbook for dress guidelines.

OUR STYLE GUIDE IS NOT A WAY OF RESTRICTING OUR PERSON BUT ACCENTING THE GROUP AS A WHOLE.

We utilize Planning Center Online for keeping track of who is singing and our weekly attendance. Please use this platform and make sure that you are accepting or denying the requests sent to you. We will be cleaning up the list weekly.

If you are not getting emails regarding weekends - please email [email protected].

There are many reasons to sing in a choir.

A few are Worship | Community | Health.

Most of us have experienced how music connects us to the heart of God, but did you know that studies in science show that choral singing improves our mood, with a decrease in stress, depression, and anxiety. These effects are often attributed to the deeper breathing associated with singing. Singing in a group offers us a sense of belonging to something bigger than ourselves. It helps us feel that the larger community needs us. You are needed - and life is better together.

Beyond these psychological effects, our physical health is also impacted for the better: lower blood pressure, increased blood oxygen saturation, elevated immunity, higher pain thresh-hold, stronger respiratory muscles, etc. Music-making produces measurable changes in the brain! These changes positively impact our ability to heal after strokes, and all of these factors can lead to a more profound sense of well-being and overall happiness.
